Internal affairs body told to speed up corruption fight

During the January 13working session in Hanoi with key members of the commission, the Partychief said the agency needs to coordinate with other agencies in makinglaws related to internal affairs and the corruption fight.

He also requested the commission to well prepare documents pertainingto internal affairs, security and anti-corruption for the Party’supcoming 12 th Congress.

Trong reiterated thatthe re-establishment of the Commission for Internal Affairs shows thedetermination of the Party and State to create clearer changes inpreventing and combating corruption.

Speaking at the session, head of the commission Nguyen Ba Thanh said hisagency has proactively worked with other agencies in directing thesettlement of serious and complicated corruption cases that caughtpublic interests.

It also worked closely withexecutive bodies to accelerate the progress of investigation andprosecution of major corruption cases in accordance with legalregulations.-VNA
