Inspectorates of Vietnam, Laos work to intensify cooperation

Hanoi (VNA) – Inspector General of the Government Inspectorate Doan Hong Phong held talks with Khamphan Phommathat, President of the Lao State Inspection Authority, in Hanoi on June 3.

The Vietnamese official emphasised that the Lao official's working visit is a vivid demonstration of the good cooperation and friendship between the two inspectorate agencies in recent years, and also a valuable opportunity for the two sides to implement a memorandum of understanding on cooperation they signed in 2022, discuss and exchange experience and the best practices in directing and managing inspection, citizen reception, complaint, and denunciation solution.

He expressed his belief that the effective cooperation and friendship between the two agencies will continue to contribute to promoting great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos.

For his part, Phommathat said that the talks offer an important chance to implement the contents of the MoU signed between the two agencies.

🍸 The two sides provided an overview of the socio-economic situation in each country, outstanding results and experience in managing inspection activities, citizen reception, complaint and denunciation solution, and combating corruption and negative phenomena in recent times, as well as orientations and tasks for the future.
