Hanoi (VNA)🉐 – The Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission convened its 50th session in Hanoi from November 11-13 under the chair of its head Tran Cam Tu.

The commission said the Party Civil Affairs Board of the Transport Ministry for the 2021-2026 tenure has violated the principle of democratic centralism and working regulations, showed a lack of responsibility and loosened leadership, resulting in the ministry, many organisations and individuals breaching Party regulations and State laws in projects and bidding packages carried out by the Thuan An Group JSC. Several officials and Party members, including key ministry officials, have violated Party regulations and State laws regarding the fight against corruption, wastefulness and negative phenomena, along with the rules on the things Party members are banned from doing and on the responsibility for setting good examples. Those wrongdoings caused serious consequences, posed risk of material and property losses to the State, stirred public concern, and undermined the prestige of Party organisation and State management agency, to an extent that disciplinary measures are required. Responsibility for the aforementioned violations and shortcomings lies with Nguyen Van The, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Party Committee of Central Agencies’ Bloc, and former Secretary of the ministry's Party Civil Affairs Board and former Minister of Transport; Le Dinh Tho, former member of the ministry's Party Civil Affairs Board and former Deputy Minister of Transport; along with several other Party organisations and members.
The commission decided to dispel several officials from the Party and dismiss others from all Party positions, issue warning to relevant units and reprimand the standing board of the Transport Ministry’s Party Committee for the 2020-2025, and other Party committees. It also imposed disciplinary action on 14 additional Party members involved in these violations. It recommended that the relevant authorities consider disciplinary measures against both the Transport Ministry’s Party Civil Affairs Board for the 2021-2026 tenure and former Transport Minister The. A reprimand was issued to the standing board of the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI)’s Party Committee for the 2015-2020 tenure and its officials.
The commission decided to discipline eight Party organisations and four other Party members involved. It suggested the relevant authorities consider disciplinary action against the VCCI Party Delegation for the 2015-2020 and 2021-2026 tenures. During the session, the commission also reviewed and made conclusions on some other important contents./.
