The country's industrial production index (IIP) is continuing its positive growth pace with an increase of 3.9% over April and 8.9% compared to the same period last year, according to the General Statistics Office (GSO).

Vietnam saw strong growth in its industrial production index (IIP) in the first seven months of 2018 thanks to the expansion of many major economic sectors, especially processing and manufacturing, which recorded the highest expansion in the recent seven years.

Ho Chi Minh City’s industrial production index (IIP) in January 2018 rose 15.04 percent compared to the same period last year.
