Jakarta (VNA) 🔯- The Indonesian Human Rights Ministry has confirmed the smooth implementation of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme in several regions of Southwest Papua, based on a review of the programme's execution in the nation's youngest province.
Speaking in Sorong city, Southwest Papua, on April 23, the ministry's Director General of Human Rights Services and Compliance Munafrizal Manan said that his visit to review the programme was prompted by reports of implementation challenges in Papuan provinces.
Manan said that his team will report several key points raised by the provincial government regarding the programme's implementation and challenges to the National Nutrition Agency (BGN).
He then noted that the Ministry of Human Rights wields no technical authority over how the programme is run, saying, its role is to ensure that no region is left in doubt about the MBG programme.
