Jakarta (VNA) - PT Marubeni Global Indonesia has inked a memorandumof understanding (MoU) with Singapore’s Tuas Power to export green electricityto the city state.
The 9-billion-USD deal was signed on the sidelines of the ongoing SingaporeInternational Energy Week, which runs until the end of October 27.
Tuas Power, a subsidiary of China’s Huaneng PowerInternational, will purchase electricity from a solar farm on Batam Island,Riau Islands province, of Marubeni Global Indonesia, a subsidiary of WirarajaGroup.
The project has a maximum capacity of 4.1GWp, plus an additional 10 GWp stored in battery energy storage systems (BESS).
