Indonesia maintains university tuition fees

Jakarta (VNA) – Indonesian Minister of Higher Education, Science and Technology Brian Yuliarto has affirmed that university tuition fees will remain unchanged.

Speaking at a hybrid meeting with rectors of state universities and heads of higher education service institutions (LLDIKTI) on February 21, he reiterated the government’s commitment to funding the Smart Indonesia Card Programme for University Students (KIP-K), which provides financial aid for eligible students.

The minister also underscored the importance of collaboration between the ministry, university leaders, and LLDIKTI to strengthen Indonesia’s higher education sector.

He emphasised that universities are not only centres of knowledge but also key drivers of national economic growth.
