Jakarta (VNA) - Indonesia and Japan have agreed toincrease humanitarian aid to Palestinian r🌱efugees during the G20 ForeignMinisters’ Meeting in Buenos Aires, Argentina.


The commit🌟men𓃲t wasconveyed by Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi while meeting with herJapanese counterpart Taro Kono on the sidelines of the G20 Foreign Ministers’Meeting, a press release from the Indonesian Foreign Ministry stated on May 22.

Thetwo ministers exchanged views on Indo-Pacific cooperation and ASEAN’s centralrole in the region, discussed the situation in Palestine, especially thedwindling humanitarian aid for Palestinian refugees. Theyagreed to increase their support to Palestine through Cooperation Among EastAsian Countries for Palestinian Development (CEAPAD). Indonesia hopes Japan will not move its embassy to Jerusalem,Marsudi noted in her Twitter account. Atthe meeting earlier, Marsudi called on G20 member states to prove their leadershipcapability and make specific contributions to anti-terrorism to maintain globalpeace and security.-VNA
