Hanoi (VNA) – Indonesian Minister of MaritimeAffairs and Fisheries Susi Pudjiastuti announced on October 20 that the countrywill sink dozens of foreign vessels conducting illegal fishing activities inits waters.
The ministry will sink around 90 illegal fishing boats this year, she said,adding that Indonesia will pursue the boats stealing fish in its waters.
So far thisyear, the ministry has sunk a total of 110 illegal fishing boats, raising thetotal figure to 317 since the fight against illegal fishing activities waslaunched 2014.
