Hanoi (VNA) – Indonesia and Australiaare set to sign a comprehensive economic partnership agreement (CEPA) nextweek.

Indonesian Trade Minister Enggartiasto Lukitaand his Australian counterpart Simon Birmingham are due to sign the deal worthbillions of USD in Jakarta on March 4.

The agreement will benefit Australia’s fields ofagriculture, healthcare, and education as well as make it easier to access tothe Southeast Asian market.

In return, Indonesia’s sectors ofgarment-textiles, automatic machinery, wood for export, electronic products,and pharmaceuticals will be promoted as Australia is widening its door to theSoutheast Asian country.

Two-way trade between Indonesia and Australiareached 11.7 billion USD in 2017.
