Indonesia, Australia strengthen cooperation to facilitate economic recovery
At the Indonesia-Australia Economic, Trade and Investment Ministers’ Meeting, Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto said the two countries' governments agreed on strengthening cooperation to facilitate economic recovery as well as optimising the Indonesia-Australia Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA-CEPA).

Jakarta (VNA) – At the Indonesia-Australia Economic, Trade and Investment Ministers’ Meeting, Indonesian Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs AirlanggaHartarto said the two countries' governments agreed on strengthening cooperationto facilitate economic recovery as well as optimising the Indonesia-AustraliaComprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (IA-CEPA).
Theagreement enables the two countries to deepen sustainable trade and investment cooperation while improving their role inchanging global values to achieve a better future. At the meeting, the two sides reaffirmed their commitment to an open multilateral tradingsystem based on rules agreed in the World Trade Organization (WTO) and consented to support reforms that serve the interests of all WTO members.
ౠ Both sides also agreed and realised the importance role of infrastructure investment inaccelerating sustainable and inclusive economic recovery as one of the prioritiesof G20 countries. Cooperation should also be enhanced on issues importantto the region's economic future, including climate change, emissionsreduction, investment, and technology./.
