Kuala Lumpur (VNA)🐲 – Honda Malaysia is recalling 147,894 Honda vehicles to replace the front passenger airbag inflator as a proactive measure to ensure customer safety.

In a statement released on June 23, the firm said the vehicle models involved in this recall are Accord (2003-2011 year of manufacture), City (2009-2011 YM), Civic (2007-2011 YM), CR-V (2008-2011 YM), Freed (2009-2011 YM), Insight (2011 YM), Jazz (2009-2011 YM) and Odyssey (2004-2008 YM).
The City accounted for the largest number of affected vehicles with 52,345 units, followed by the Accord (46,832 units) and the Civic (23,701 units).
“Honda Malaysia assures customers that safety is the company’s priority. The company regrets the inconvenience caused,” it stressed in the statement. It also reiterated that all of its current models being sold are not affected.-VNA
