Hoan Kiem – Thang Long Imperial Citadel e-bus route launched

An electric bus route linking Hoan Kiem to Thang Long Imperial Citadel was launched on February 5 to serve the sightseeing needs of both locals and tourists who wish to explore the rich heritage sites of Hanoi capital city.

Hanoi (VNA) – An electric bus route linking Hoan Kiem Lake in downtown Hanoi to Thang LongImperial Citadel was launched on February 5 to serve the sightseeing needs ofboth locals and tourists who wish to explore the rich heritage sites of Hanoicapital city.

The route linking Hoan Kiem lake in thevery heart of the city with the historic Thang Long Imperial Citadel is a jointeffort of the Hoan Kiem district People’s Committee, the Dong Xuan JSC andthe Thang Long – Hanoi Heritage Conservation Centre.

It demonstrates the determination of Hanoicity and the dedication of businesses to reduce greenhouse gas emissions,protect the environment, and stimulate commercial activities and local tourismeconomy.

The route, with 20 operating e-buses, willtraverse through iconic streets such as Dinh Tien Hoang, Hang Dao, Hang Ngang,Hang Buom, Ma May, Hang Bac, Hang Ngang, Hang Duong, Dong Xuan, Hang Giay, QuanThanh, Nguyen Bieu, and end at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel.

On the return journey, it will run from Thang Long Imperial Citadel through Hoang Dieu, Hoang Van Thu,Hung Vuong, Phan Dinh Phung, Hang Cot, Hang Luoc, Hang Ma, Hang Chieu, Dao DuyTu, Ma May, Hang Bac, Hang Bo, Luong Van Can, Le Thai To, Hang Khay, and DinhTien Hoang.

The Dong Xuan JSC is offering free ridesalong the 10-km route during the promotion period from February 1-9, with a fleet of 10 buses operating throughout the day./.
