Hoa Binh, Laos’ Houaphanh province expand multi-faceted cooperation

Hoa Binh (VNA)♏ – A delegation from Laos' Houaphanh province led by its Vice Governor Phutphan Keovongxay onJanuary 24 visited and extended New Year greetings to Hoa Binh province’s Party Organisation, authorities, and people.
Receiving the Lao delegation, Vice Chairman ofthe Hoa Binh provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Van Chuong told the guestsabout the province's socio-economic achievements in 2023, and reviewed thegood relationship between Vietnam and Laos in general and between Hoa Binh andHouaphanh in particular. Appreciating Hoa Binh’s significant changes in socio-economic development. Phutphan Keovongxay thanked Hoa Binh province for supporting Houaphanh in building aschool, training Lao students, and transferring technology to the province. He said he believes that the two provinceswill continue to strengthen and expand cooperation in many fields, contributingto strengthening the relationship between the two provinces. Chuongaffirmed that his province will further promote people-to-peopleexchanges with the Lao locality, especially those among the young generations./.
The number of Lao and foreign tourists flocking to the far-north province of Houaphanh, Laos, has increased significantly after Nong Khang airport came into operation last month.
The central province of Thanh Hoa and its neighbouring Lao province of Houaphanh held talks and signed cooperation documents in the Vietnamese locality on June 20.
