Ho Chi Minh City will reopen bars, dance clubs and karaoke parlors from January 10 after a period of suspension due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

HCM City (VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City will reopen bars, dance clubs and karaokeparlors from January 10 after a period of suspension due to the COVID-19pandemic.

The municipal People’s Committee onJanuary 4 issued a document allowing the resumption of such services in the southernmetropolis, which said the business activities must satisfy pandemic preventionand control regulations.

Thecommittee has asked the People’s Committees of Thu Duc city and districts tointensify inspections over the reopening of establishments that meet requirements.

Inaccordance with existing requirements, all employees working at bars, danceclubs and karaoke parlors must either be fully vaccinated or recovered from COVID-19.Meanwhile, customers must either be fully vaccinated, have recovered, or testnegative for the virus within the last 72 hours.

OnNovember 16, the city allowed karaoke and massage parlors, bars and dance clubsto reopen, but just two days later it ordered them to close again due to thecomplex developments of the pandemic./.
