H’Mong pan-pine festival opens in Ha Giang

The H’Mong pan-pine festival opened in Dong Van district, the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang, on September 1, attracting hundreds of artists.

Ha Giang (VNA) – The H’Mong pan-pine festivalopened in Dong Van district, the northern mountainous province of Ha Giang, onSeptember 1, attracting hundreds of artists. 

Vice Chairman of the district People’s Committee NguyenTrung Ngoc said H’Mong pan-pine was recognised as the national intangible culturalheritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2015, adding thatthe event was meant to honour, preserve and uphold cultural values of H’Mongethnic group.

The event also afforded ethnic minority groups and H’Mongethnic group in particular a chance to exchange and tighten solidarity as wellas enrich their cultures.

Visitors to the event could enjoy pan-pine melodies, folksongs and games of ethnic minority groups on Dong Van Karst Plateau.-VNA
