Beijing (VNA) – A high-ranking delegation of the VietnamPeople’s Navy, led by Rear Admiral Pham Van Vung, is on a visit to Chinabetween June 11 and 15 at the invitation of Vice Admiral Qin Shengxiang, PoliticalCommissar of the Chinese People's Liberation Army Navy.

The delegation has so far paid a courtesy call to Sen.Lieut. Gen. Miao Hua, Chairman of the Chinese Central Military Commission’s Departmentof Political Work and held talks with Vice Admiral Qin Shengxiang. TheVietnamese officials also visited the Dalian Maritime University.

At these meetings, both sides acknowledged that thecooperation and friendship between the Vietnamese and Chinese armies and navieshave grown robustly in the past time, becoming an important pillar in the twonations’ relations.

They agreed to further strengthen the ties based on tacklingdisagreement in line with common conceptions of the two Party, State and armyleaders to sustain security, peace, and stability in the region.

The delegation was also informed on China’s experience onParty-related work, particularly political education in the country’s army andnavy.

The sides said they will continue boosting cooperation andexperience exchange in carrying out Party-related and political work in theirnavies.-VNA
