The Information Technology Department of the Ministry of Health launched a mobile app providing users with the latest and precise information about the COVID-19 outbreak on March 13.

Hanoi (VNA) – The InformationTechnology Department of the Ministry of Health launched a mobile app providingusers with the latest and precise information about the COVID-19 outbreak onMarch 13.

The app, developed basing on artificialintelligence, enables a number of users to raise questions at the same time andautomatically gives real-time response. 

It also automatically updates data from theWorld Health Organisation (WHO), the Health Ministry’s portal, and theministry’s “Suc khoe va Doi song” (Health and Life) newspaper.

The virtual assistant on this COVID-19 app isable to improve itself on the basis of its user interaction history and will becontinually upgraded, thus helping to improve users’ experience.

The app serves as another source of preciseinformation about the outbreak situation, disease prevention and controlmeasures, instructions on disease diagnosis and treatment.

People can download the app from App Store or CHPlay on mobile devices or ./.

A 2023 report by the Vietnam Health Economics Association estimated that the total cost of tobacco-related healthcare and economic losses reached 108 trillion VND (4.14 billion USD) annually – equivalent to 1.14% of GDP and five times higher than the budget revenue generated by the tobacco industry.

ꦍ Vietnam, France collaborate in vaccine production technology transfer

Under the agreement, VNVC and Sanofi will gradually implement technology transfers to enable domestic production of several key Sanofi vaccines that are widely used in Vietnam. In addition, Sanofi will support VNVC in training human resources and quality management in vaccine research and manufacturing.
