Seoul (VNA) – Head coach of Vietnam’s U23 team Park Hang-seo has expressed hisgratitude for the country’s support for him and the team.

Park made theremarks at a press briefing held in Incheon city, 70km west of Seoul after hereturned to the Republic of Korea (RoK) on February 8 following the AFC U23Championship in China.

“I am grateful toVietnamese football fans for reserving their support and love for me andVietnam’s U23 team,” Park said, adding that he feels responsible for Vietnam’sfootball.

To acknowledge hisoutstanding contribution to Vietnam’s football, the Embassy of Vietnam in the RoKsent representatives to welcome and present flowers to the head coach at the airport.

Park pledged tomake his utmost efforts to train Vietnamese players, adding that he felt underpressure with the huge passion of Vietnamese football fans.

He also extendedhis thanks to Korean people for their support for Vietnam’s U23 team.

Vietnam’sachievements in the AFC U23 Championship are thanks to not only his trainingbut also the determination and tireless efforts of the team, Park affirmed, andexpressed his thanks to the players and his assistants.

 “I will not be satisfied with the outcomes andmake greater efforts with Vietnam’s team to gain even better achievements, upto the expectation of Vietnamese football fans,” Park said.
