HCM City​ (VNA) – Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Tat Thanh Cang received Allen Warren, Vice Mayor of Sacramento City, California state, the United States, who looks to🐬 learn about cooperation opportunities with the southern city, on November 9.

Welcoming his guest, the Vice Chairman invited the US delegation to visit Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, the Ho Chi Minh City University of Agriculture and the Forestry and Saigon Hi-tech Park to study the possibility of cooperation and investment between the two cities.
Cang spoke highly of the Fulbright Programme in Vietnam, which has recently been developed into Fulbright University Vietnam, saying that the university establishment has indicated the strong development of ties between Vietnamese and American universities. For his part, Vice Mayor Warren said he wants to learn more about Ho Chi Minh City during his visit and hoped that the two cities’ relations would expand further in the near future.
They later witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on collaboration between the city’s Department of Home Affairs and UC Davis Extension, an education branch of the University of California, Davis. Accordingly, UC Davis Extension will provide short-term courses for officials of Ho Chi Minh City on public policy, urban management, commercial law, hi-tech agriculture, biotechnology and English language.-VNA
