Ho Chi Minh City and the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh should continue offering optimal conditions for their travel firms to strengthen connectivity, attract tourists, and share experience.

HCM City (VNA)ౠ – Ho Chi Minh City and the Cambodian capital Phnom Penh should continue offering optimal conditions for their travel firms to strengthen connectivity, attract tourists, and share experience, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee Huynh Cach Mang has said.
At a meeting with Deputy Governor of Phnom Penh Keo Sokpisey in the City on September 7, Mang lauded the Phnom Penh delegation’s participation inthe 13th International Tourism Festival of Ho Chi Minh City. Henoted that the two sides have enjoyed fruitful partnership in economics, trade,investment as well as education and tourism.
He pledgedthat the city will continue its efforts to further bolster cooperation between the two countries as well as between Ho Chi Minh City and Cambodian localities,especially Phnom Penh.

Forher part, Keo Sokpisey thanked the Vietnamese side as well as Ho Chi Minh Cityin particular for supporting Cambodia through school and road construction projects.She expressed her hope that localities of both sides will continue fostering tiesin the future. Laudingthe 13th International Tourism Festival of Ho Chi Minh City, shesaid that the event is a good chance for the two cities tobeef up tourism affiliation. Currently,Phnom Penh welcomes over 100,000 tourists from Ho Chi Minh City each year, shenoted, expressing her hope that the figure will continue rising in the coming time. Alongwith tourism, the two cities should also step up collaboration in education andtraining as well as infrastructure development, health care, and informationtechnology, she suggested.-VNA
