HCM City (VNA) – Ho Chi Minh City will dazzle its local as well asdomestic and foreign visitors with a wide range of activities to welcome theupcoming New Year holiday.

Several streets in downtown areas like Nam Ky Khoi Nghia - Nguyen Van Troi, HamNghi, Dong Khoi, Le Duan and Pham Ngoc Thach will be decorated with led lights,featuring the city’s development process.

Art performances will be held on the night of December 31 and January 1 invarious districts.

Particularly, the “New Year’s Countdown LIGHTS 2018” festival is scheduled torun on Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street on December 31.

Hundreds of domesticand foreign artists will stage stellar performances at a light festival held onNguyen Hue Pedestrian Street on December 31 to welcome the New Year 2018. Thevibrant festival will enlighten stories of the southern hub - a modern andcivilised city that still preserves traditional values through folk arts.

A stunning 3D show will be staged at the building of the municipal People’sCommittee.

Other festive activities include Kids by Light and ice-cream festival.

A firework display will sparkle the city’s Dam Sen Park on New Year’ Eve.-VNA
