HCM City authority receives students from int’l defence officer class

HCM City is one of the leading localities nationwide inimplementing external affairs programmes to increase mutual understanding andsolidarity among nations and look toward the building of a peaceful andprosperous world.
Lieutenant General PhanAnh Viet, Deputy Director of the Academy of Defence, said 22 students from 14countries of the fourth international defence officer class, had visited theHistory Museum and the historical relic site of Cu Chi tunnels in HCM City tounderstand better about the culture and people of Vietnam.
The students have anopportunity to study the history of national building and safeguarding as wellas defence policies of Vietnam,he added.-VNA
Vietnam’s participation in the United Nations’ peacekeeping operations marks new progress in the international defence integration of the country, said Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Vietnam People’s Army, Lieutenant General Vo Van Tuan.
