ReceivingMayor of Gold Coast city in Australia’s Queensland State Tom Tate, Duc said that Ho Chi Minh City always pays attention to tourism development– a key part of its socio-economic development. Duc also saidthat the city wishes to promote cooperation with the Australian city in such fields as education, human resources development, investment and trade. He said he hopes HoChi Minh City and Gold Coast City will also further share experiences in urbanwaste treatment, waste-to-energy electricity generation, climate change response, new technologyapplications and urban governance. For his part,Mayor Tate appreciates the potential for economic development and theattractiveness of the investment environment of Ho Chi Minh City, expecting that in the coming time, the two localities will strengthen cooperation in thefields in which they have mutual interest, especially tourism, education andculture. Gold Coastcity, on the east coast of Australia, is a famoustourist city with beautiful beaches. It is considered one of Australia'sfastest-growing cities./.
