HCM City (VNA) – Twenty-nine Party membersin Ho Chi Minh City have been expelled from the Party due to their wrongdoingsin four cases subject to supervision by the Central Steering Committee onAnti-Corruption.
The disciplinary measure was issued by the StandingBoard and the Inspection Committee of the municipal Party Committee.
Regarding the case of “embezzling asset”, “violatingregulations on the management and use of State asset, causing losses andwastefulness”, and “lacking sense of responsibility, causing seriousconsequences” at the Saigon Agriculture Corporation One Member LimitedLiability Company, nine violating persons were expelled from the Party, includingVan Trong Dung - former Vice Secretary of the Party Committee and formerChairman of the Members’ Council of this firm.
For the case of “embezzling asset” and “violatingregulations on the management and use of State asset, causing losses andwastefulness” at the Tan Thuan Industrial Promotion Co. Ltd (IPC) and the SouthSaigon Development JSC (SADECO), 11 Party members are subject to the expulsion.
Meanwhile, the same disciplinary measure was issuedfor eight Party members involved in the case of “violating regulations on themanagement and use of State asset, causing losses and wastefulness” at the TanThuan Construction and Investment Co. Ltd, including Pham Van Thong - former DeputyChief of the HCM City Party Committee’s Office, and Phan Thanh Tan - member ofthe Party Committee of the city’s Civil - Administration - Party Bloc, ViceSecretary of the Party Committee of the municipal Party Committee’s Office, andformer Deputy Chief of the municipal Party Committee’s Office.
In the case of “violating regulations on landmanagement” at the Land Lot 8-12 project on Le Duan street in Ben Nghe ward ofDistrict 1, the Inspection Committee made the expulsion decision against NguyenThi Thu Thuy, former Director of the HCM City House Trade Management Company,due to her infringement of legal rules on the management of the State’s finance,asset, and land, as well as regulations on corruption and wastefulnessprevention and control, which caused “very serious” consequences, the InspectionCommittee announced./.
The Party Central Committee's Secretariat on April 7 decided to expel Tat Thanh Cang, former member of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, and Le Huu Phuoc, member of Phu Yen province’s Party Committee and Secretary of the Party Civil Affairs Commitee of and Chief Justice of the People’s Court of Phu Yen, from the Party.
