Hanoi's leader pays pre-Tet visit to VBS Patronage Council, Tran Quoc pagoda
Permanent Vice Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee Nguyen Thi Tuyen on February 1 paid a visit to the Patronage Council of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS) and Tran Quoc pagoda in Tay Ho district on the occasion of the upcoming Lunar New Year (Tet).

Tuyen extended her Tet wishes todignitaries, monks, nuns and Buddhist followers of the VBS Patronage Counciland Tran Quoc pagoda.
She expressed her hope that thedignitaries, monks, nuns and Buddhists continue accompanying the city to helpit more civilized and modern.
Venerable Thich Nguyen Chinh said he hopesto receive more attention from the city's administration to Buddhist activities of the VBS atall levels, Tay Ho district as well as Tran Quoc pagoda./.
The UN Day of Vesak was celebrated at Tran Quoc Pagoda in Hanoi on May 25, or the seventh day of the fourth lunar month, with the joint effort of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha (VBS), the Hanoi chapter of the Vietnam-India Friendship Association, and the Indian Embassy.
