Hanoi (VNA)♓ – A tourism information centre opened in Hanoi recently, promising to bring tourists more options to discover the capital city and beautiful places nearby.

The centre, managed by the Hanoi Department of Tourism, aims to promote the city’s tourism and serve tourists better.
It provides information about destinations in Hanoi and other provinces, as well as tours to these destinations. Tourists can book tours with many travel companies through the centre. The centre will offer four free walking tours to discover the Old Quarter and the space around Hoan Kiem Lake, including a tour of Hanoi’s outstanding architectural works and another to study the capital’s history and culture. The third tour will introduce craft streets – a cultural feature of Hanoi’s Old Quarter and the last one will help tourists understand about the combination of Eastern and Western cultures inside the Old Quarter.
The tour of craft streets, including Hang Dao (Silk Dyers), Hang Bac (Silver), Hang Bo (Basket), Lan Ong (Traditional medicine), Hang Thiec (Tin), Hang Quat (Fan) and Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, was put into operation right after the launch of the centre. It runs from Wednesday to Sunday for Vietnamese and English speaking tourists. Located at 28 Hang Dau Street, the centre is open daily from 8am to 6pm. A hotline is also available at (84) 941336677 for tourist enquiries and complaints.-VNA
