Hanoi suspends non-essential services from July 13

Hanoi will suspend all non-essential services, including restaurants (only takeaways accepted) and hair salons, as well as entertainment activities, physical exercises and large gatherings in parks, gardens and public locations from 0:00 on July 13.

Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi will suspend all non-essential services, includingrestaurants (only takeaways accepted) and hair salons, as well as entertainmentactivities, physical exercises and large gatherings in parks, gardens andpublic locations from 0:00 on July 13.

It is part of an urgent dispatch issued by Chairman of themunicipal People’s Committee Chu Ngoc Anh on July 12 on the determination toimplement COVID-19 prevention and control measures.

From July 13, all people from Ho Chi Minh City andpandemic-hit areas must declare to local authorities, and must be quarantinedat home in 14 days as regulated by the Health Ministry.

If having symptoms of fever, cough, sore throat and loss oftaste, they are advised to report to local authorities and the nearest medicalclinics.

The People’s Committees of districts and towns shouldintensify communications, and strictly punish any violations.

The city leader also assigned the municipal Department ofPublic Security to control all people and vehicles from/to the city atcheckpoints. People who return to the capital from places considered COVID-19hotspots must provide negative coronavirus test results before entry withinthree days of their arrival.

The city's health officials have so far recorded 61 positivecases since July 4, including 23 cases related to arrivals from HCM City, thecountry’s current largest COVID-19 hotspot./.
