Hanoi (VNA) – The 2025 Hanoi Tourism Festival opened on May 30 at the Thang 💛Long Imperial Citadel, showcasing the capital's charmಌ through the theme “Experience Hanoi.”
Running through June 1, the event features a vibrant series of tourism, cultural, and culinary activities.
With over 150 booths, this year’s festival brings together leading travel businesses, domestic localities, and international organisations. Visitors are invited to explore “Hanoi as a destination” through immersive models, miniature landscapes, and cutting-edge technology including VR360 and 3D mapping, recreating hundreds of iconic scenes from the capital city. Many tour operators and hotels are also presenting new products and promotional packages to boost tourism demand.
A standout feature is the culinary zone, offering both traditional and creative dishes such as pho, Hanoi shrimp fritters, lotus tea, and Vietnamese coffee, prepared and presented by renowned chefs. The “Ta Hien Night Food Street” experience recreates the vibrant Old Quarter nightlife, complete with cold draft beer, street food, and live music.

To mark International Children's Day (June 1), the festival offers a variety of kid-friendly experiences, including painting, folk games, and a special Robocon programming session. Additional activities include a sports zone introducing pickleball and an interactive premium golf area.
Beyond the opening art show “Sounds of Hanoi,” which blends traditional and contemporary music, the festival also features a destination survey on May 31, the “Hanoi Heritage” fashion show on May 31, and a forum on developing Muslim-friendly tourism on June 1.
In the first five months of 2025, Hanoi welcomed an estimated 12.77 million visitors, generating tourism revenues of approximately 51.94 trillion VND (1.99 billion USD), marking year-on-year increases of 10.9% and 14.1%, respectively. The capital city expects to host 15.55 million tourist arrivals and earn 62.299 trillion VND in revenue in the first half of 2025, up 11.8% and 14.6% year-on-year./.
