Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi stands ready to share experience and providesupport in agriculture and many other sectors for Mozambique, Chairman of themunicipal People’s Committee Nguyen Duc Chung has said.
Hosting reception for newly-accredited Ambassador of the African nationLeonardo Pene in Hanoi on August 23, Chung underlined that both sides haveenjoyed thriving cooperation in the fields of economy and trade in the pastyears.
He expressed his hope that in his tenure, the Mozambican diplomat will do hisutmost to elevate the Vietnam-Mozambique relations to a new height as well asstrengthen bonds between Hanoi and Mozambican localities.
Leonardo Pene, for his part, said that Mozambique attaches much importance toaccelerating the development of agriculture, infrastructure, energy and tourismin its national development policies.
Besides the robust collaboration in agriculture with Vietnam, he wished thatthe cooperative activities will be expanded to other sectors, attracting theinvolvement of both state-owned and private enterprises.
He took the occasion to invite the working group of the municipal People’sCommittee to attend the Business Forum held on the sidelines of the Vietnam-MozambiqueInter-Governmental Committee scheduled for October or November this year.-VNA
