Hanoi maintains high ranking in administrative reforms

Hanoi maintained its second place nationwide in the 2018 Public Administration Reform (PAR) index with a combined score of 83.98 percent, according to the PAR Index 2018 report. ​

Hanoi (VNA) –
Hanoi maintained itssecond place nationwide in the 2018 Public Administration Reform (PAR) indexwith a combined score of 83.98 percent, according to the PAR Index 2018report.  

The capital was ranked 54th in the VietnamProvincial Governance and Public Administration Performance Index PAPI in2018, up two places compared to 2017.

Hanoi was ranked 20th in the public administrativeprocedures sub-component (up 29 places) and 42nd in publicity and transparency (up11 places).

The city has so far offered 1,031 online public services.

According to the municipal Department of Industry and Trade,Hanoi has selected six departments, nine districts, and 27 communes, wards andtowns to conduct a survey of the locals’ satisfaction over the State agencies’administrative reforms, which showed good results.

Over the past years, Hanoi has been pushing informationtechnology application for business registration.

More than 98 percent of tax declarations are now processedonline, while the processing time for administrative procedures has beenreduced to within three working days, and in some cases to two days. 

Hanoi is now home to 3,530 technology companies whichgenerate revenue of more than 244 trillion VND (10.44 billion USD) in 2018.-VNA
