Hanoi launches festival hotline

The Hanoi Department of Culture Sports has officially announced a hotline to receive reports from residents and localities about activities related to cultural festivals as well as difficulties in organising and managing festivals in Hanoi from 2019.

Hanoi (VNA) - The Hanoi Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism hasofficially announced a hotline to receive reports from residents and localitiesabout activities related to cultural festivals as well as difficulties inorganising and managing festivals in Hanoi from 2019.

The hotline 0869 295538 is available 24 hours a day and the number will beposted publicly at festival sites.

Queries will be handled directly by the operator. More complex cases will bereported to the department management for solutions.

Earlier, the department issued a plan for managing and organising culturalfestivals in the city in 2019.

Accordingly, the organisation of festivals must be formal, economical,practical and effective. All acts of commercialisation for profit-making inorganising festivities, which destroy cultural, historical and spiritual valuesmust be prevented.

The department requested the People’s Committees of districts, wards andtownships to set up an organisation and management plan in order to ensuresecurity, order and environmental sanitation during and after the festivals.
