Hanoi (VNA) - 🤪Hanoi’s Department of Tourism has introduced a series of new attractive tourism products, aiming to make a strong breakthrough during the National Day (September 2) holiday, and accelerate growth through the end of the year.

Speaking at a recent conference to launch a 2025 tourism product promotion plan in the capital city, Tran Trung Hieu, Deputy Director of the municipal Department of Tourism, stressed that the city is proactively developing new tourism products, expanding experiential spaces, and enhancing communication efforts to attract a large influx of visitors ahead of the 80th anniversary of the August Revolution and the National Day. As of May, hotel bookings for the National Day (September 2) holiday in Hanoi have increased by 30–40% compared to the same period last year. Notably, online searches for accommodation have skyrocketed by an extraordinary 4,418%, more than 44 times higher, concentrated mainly in Hoan Kiem and Ba Dinh districts, where major commemorative events are to take place.

According to Hieu, the growing number of service bookings for the National Day holiday highlights Hanoi’s strong appeal to both domestic and international tourists. To welcome the rising influx of visitors and encourage longer stays, the city has restructured its tourism system into three distinct levels - international routes, national routes, and inner-city routes.
At the conference, Hieu announced a list of new tourism products to be launched from now until the end of the year. Among the highlights is a group of 20 night tours. In addition, many creative spaces are being introduced, with the aim of creating unique check-in spots for visitors. Addressing the event, Nguyen Huu Viet, Deputy Director of the Hanoi Tourism Information Centre under the municipal Department of Tourism, said Hanoi will promote tourism through a series of festivals and highlight events with high experiential value, to attract more domestic and international tourists to the capital city. A highlight among these events is the Hanoi Tourism Festival 2025, themed “Experience Hanoi 2025,” to be held at the Thang Long Imperial Citadel. The festival will feature a wide range of activities, showcase tourism products, traditional craft villages, local cuisine, and new tour routes.
From now until the end of the year, Hanoi will host the Hanoi Beverage Festival 2025, scheduled for August 29 to September 2 at Thong Nhat Park, to promote the capital’s culinary and beverage heritage. The 3rd Hanoi Autumn Festival is expected to take place from October 3 to 5 at Tran Nhan Tong Pedestrian Street, Thong Nhat Park, and other key attractions. It will celebrate Hanoi’s most beautiful season through street art performances, autumn-themed cuisine, photo tours, and heritage space experiences. In November, Hanoi will host the Ao Dai Tourism Festival at Son Tay Citadel and the Culinary & Craft Village Tourism Festival on Trinh Cong Son pedestrian street, featuring art performance programmes, parades, and exhibitions; and introducing tours linked to craft villages, agriculture, and ecotourism - sustainable tourism products that Hanoi is strongly developing. Hanoi will also take part in major domestic tourism promotion activities such as the International Travel Expo Ho Chi Minh City (ITE HCMC) 2025, Da Lat Tourism Golden Week, and the Thanh Tuyen Festival. The city will also join key international events, including the Osaka Expo in Japan, ITB India in Mumbai, and IFTM Top Resa in Paris.
Viet said from July 29 to 30, the Hanoi Tourism Information Centre will host a smart tourism development conference, focusing on sharing technological solutions for destination management and enhancing visitor experiences, aiming toward comprehensive digital transformation for the capital city’s tourism sector./.
