Hanoi commends outstanding work in DPRK-USA summit preparations
Hanoi’s administration has commended collectives and individuals with outstanding performances in serving the second summit between the US and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK).

Hanoi (VNA) – Hanoi’s administrationhas commended collectives and individuals with outstanding performances inserving the second summit between the US and the Democratic People’s Republicof Korea (DPRK).
The summit took place in Hanoi on February 27and 28 with the participation of US President Donald Trump and DPRK leader KimJong-un.
At the ceremony on March 4, the municipalPeople’s Committee highly valued contributions by the Vietnam News Agency tothe promotion of Hanoi and Vietnam as a safe and friendly destination to theinternational community during the summit.
Chairman of the committee Nguyen Duc Chungpresented a merit certificate to the Hanoi bureau of the Vietnam News Agency.
He said scholars around the world shared theview that the DPRK-USA Hanoi Summit Vietnam was an important step in the twocountries’ negotiations. As host of the event, Vietnam was responsible forensuring security and providing the best possible conditions for the talks totake place.
Chung expressed his hope that local departmentsand agencies will maintain Hanoi’s beauty as it was during the summit so as tofurther promote the image and stature of Vietnam and the capital in the eyes ofinternational friends.
According to the municipal People’s Committee, despiteonly having a fortnight to prepare for the event, the substantial workload wascompleted on schedule. Hanoi’s preparations for the summit were assessed as satisfactory,receiving high assessment from the international community. –VNA
