Hanoi builds dossier to join UNESCO Creative Cities Network
The Hanoi People’s Committee recently issued a plan on building a ‘Hanoi - creative city’ dossier to apply to join the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) Creative Cities Network.
Hanoi (VNA) – The Hanoi People’sCommittee recently issued a plan on building a ‘Hanoi - creative city’ dossier toapply to join the United Nations Educational, Scientific and CulturalOrganisation (UNESCO) Creative Cities Network.
The municipal Department of Culture andSports is tasked to join hands with the Vietnam National Institute of Cultureand Arts Studies, the UNESCO Office in Hanoi and relevant agencies to build thedossier.
The offices will conduct survey, gatherdocuments and statistics of the city in various fields such as culture,architecture and education, among others; as well as arrange workshops andsymposiums to collect opinions from Vietnamese and foreign scientists andexperts.
The dossier is set to complete before June28. A Hanoi delegation will participate in a session announcing the result inFrance in November.
