Hai Phong people hold high expectations for new Party leader

Officials, Party members and people in the northern port city of Hai Phong are confident in and have high expectations for the consolidation of the Party and State leadership, which they believe will ensure stability, inheritance and development of experience and achievements that late Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and leaders of previous tenures of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committees carved out.

Hai Phong (VNA) – Officials, Party members and people in the northern port city of Hai Phong are confident in and have high expectations for the consolidation of the Party and State leadership, which they believe will ensure stability, inheritance and development of experience and achievements that late Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong and leaders of previous tenures of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) Central Committees carved out.

Colonel Nguyen Van Toan, Editor-in-Chief of the Hai Quan Viet Nam (Vietnam Navy) newspaper, said he is impressed by the new leader's inaugural speech, in which he said his new role as the General Secretary of the CPV Central Committee carries great responsibilities amidst the expectations of officials, party members and people for the country’s robust development in the coming time.

According to Toan, the speech of the new Party chief has consolidated the confidence among officials, party members and people in the Party's leadership, helping affirm Vietnam’s position in the international arena as a peaceful nation with development and political stability.

Meanwhile, Bui Thi Loan, Deputy General Director of Shinec Joint Stock Company, recalled Lam’s speech which laid stress on solidarity, coordination, and agreement of the whole Party, people and military to successfully carry out the set targets.

Amidst challenges and complicated and unpredictable developments in the world, Vietnam has attained standout socio-economic development and diplomatic results, she said, attributing the results to the sound and timely leadership of the Party and State, as well as the innovation, determination, and aspiration of the people and political system.
