The website of the US magazine described thetwice-recognised UNESCO World Heritage Site as “a vision of astonishingbeauty” with more than 1,600 islands and a sweet and romanticdestination for international tourists during this Valentine’s Day.

The other nine destinations are the United States’ Post Ranch Inn inBig Sur (California), Sedona (Arizona), Covered Bridges (Vermont); theBritish Pullman Train in the United Kingdom; the Hotel Kakslauttanen inFinland; the famous Eiffel Tower in Paris, France; the Lover’s Walk (ViaDell’ Amore) in Italy; the Istrian Peninsula in Croatia; and theClassical Gardens of Suzhou in China.

Earlier, Ha Long Bay,or the Bay of the Descending Dragon, was also in the list of world’stop ten best and romantic destinations for 2011 by the UK’s LonelyPlanet magazine and ranked 6 th among top ten sailing cruises byNational Geographic book “Journeys of a Lifetime”.-VNA
