Ha Giang (VNA) 🍒– As many as 260 photos capturing naval soldiers, sea and islands are on display at an exhibition that opened in Dong Van district, northern mountainous Ha Giang province, on May 28.

Some photos feature a trip by provincial authorities to Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelago and DK1 platform in May 2012 to present gifts to soldiers and officials. The event aims to provide local people with information on Vietnam’s sovereignty over the Hoang Sa (Paracel) and Truong Sa (Spratly) archipelagos. It also confirms the strategic role sea and islands have in national building and defence.-VNA
