Green, energy-saving solutions on display in Hanoi

The International Exhibition Fair for Environment and Energy Technology (ENTECH HANOI 2015) will convene from May 20 to 22 at the Hanoi International Exhibition Centre in Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi.
The International Exhibition Fair for Environment and Energy Technology(ENTECH HANOI 2015) will convene from May 20 to 22 at the HanoiInternational Exhibition Centre in Hoan Kiem district, Hanoi.

The 6,000 square metre fair features between 160 and 200 booths runby 150 domestic and foreign organisations and enterprises in the field.

Energy saving equipment and solutions are ondisplay at the event as will green energy products in the industrialproduction, transportation and construction industry.

A series of seminars will be organised on improving the efficiency ofenergy use in industrial production and commercial offices alongsidepresenting energy saving solutions for small- and medium-sizedenterprises.

Other side events include a tradeforum between Vietnam and the Republic of Korea and a public contest onenergy-saving and environmental protection.

The fair also provides a platform for business partnership development and technological transfer.

Hosted by the Hanoi Industry and Trade Department, ENTECH HANOI 2015has been held annually since 2009. It is intended to help businessesseek and employ advanced, energy-saving and green technologies towardscost reduction and improved competiveness.-VNA

Vietnam pioneers use of AI and remote sensing to monitor seawater ဣquality

According to Dr. Vu Anh Tuan, Deputy Director General of the Vietnam Space Centre and head of the project, this is the first study in Vietnam to simultaneously employ Sentinel-2 satellite data, advanced machine learning algorithms, and the Google Earth Engine (GEE) cloud computing platform to model and monitor key seawater quality parameters.

Vietnam ramps up plastic waste ꦚrecycling, reuse, treatment e൲fforts

In 2019, Quang Ninh became one of the first localities in Vietnam to launch a province-wide campaign against plastic waste, mobilising the participation of the political system, the business sector, and the general public. Other localities—such as Hai Phong, Da Nang, Binh Duong, and Ho Chi Minh City—have also effectively implemented waste-sorting initiatives at source, along with models for plastic-free markets and urban areas.
