Hanoi (VNA) – 🍌The Government Office has issued adocument regarding Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam’s guideline on the supplyof medical oxygen for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.
Per request of the Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT) onthe issue, the Deputy PM assigned the MoIT and the Ministry of Health tocontinue carrying out guidelines stipulated by the Prime Minister in previousdocuments on the work. In case measures are needed to ensure the supply, theMoIT may halt or limit oxygen exports. The Ministry of Transport and the Ministry of PublicSecurity are ordered to facilitate the transport of medicaloxygen, meeting the demand for treatment. The Ministry of Finance is instructed to join hands with theHealth Ministry, the MoIT and relevant ministries to promptly decide on asuitable price support mechanism for medical oxygen manufacturing and transportfacilities in emergencies, in accordance with the law./.
The Hanoi People's Committee has issued a plan to provide medical oxygen for a scenario in which the number of COVID-19 patients in the city reaches 40,000.
The Ministry of Health held an online training conference on September 13 on a project to enhance the supply and use of medical oxygen for facilities treating COVID-19 patients.
Several steel companies owned by the Vietnam Steel Corporation have been supplying oxygen and oxygen cylinders for free to medical facilities to meet the rising demand for treating COVID-19 patients.
