Hanoi (VNA) – “Hanh phuc cua me” (The Happiness ofa Mother) directed by Pham Huynh Dong has won the Golden Kite Awards 2019 inthe feature category.
At the annual awards ceremony held by the Vietnam Cinematic Association inHanoi on May 12, the film also earned the most trophies, including the bestscreen writer award for Nguyen Thi Ngoc Bich, the best director award for PhamHuynh Dong, the best cameraman for Vo Thanh Tien, and the best leading actressaward to Cat Phuong, who plays Mother Tue in the film.
The Silver Kite Awards were presented to “Hai Phuong” (Furie) by Le Van Kietand “Truyen thuyet ve Quan Tien” (The Legend of Quan Tien) by Dinh Tuan Vu.

Vietnamese film Co Ba Sai Gon (The Tailor) produced by renowned actress Ngo Thanh Van has been entertaining the audiences at the Regency Theatres Westminster 10 (Goldenwest Westminster) in California, the US.
Chang Vo Cua Em (My Mr Wife), a movie on struggle of woman in modern society, won the two top prizes at the annual 2018 Golden Kite awards given by the Vietnam Cinema Association in Ho Chi Minh City on April 12.
The 2020 Golden Kite Awards have been postponed for the second time because of the COVID-19 pandemic and the physical distancing measures introduced nationwide, according to the organizer, the Vietnam Cinematography Association.
