The Asian Development Bank (ADB) maintained its positive economic outlook for Vietnam, forecasting the country’s GDP growth at 6% in 2024 and 6.2% in the following year.
The World Bank has predicted that Laos will see economic growth of 4.5 percent in 2022 and 4.8 percent in 2023 despite projected slower growth of the global economy, Vientiane Times reported.
Vietnam's economy is forecasted to expand by 6.8 percent in 2018, 6.6 percent in 2019 and 6.5 percent in 2020, according to the World Bank (WB)’s Global Economic Prospects.
The World Bank released its Global Economic Prospects report, forecasting a global 2017 economic growth rate of 2.7 percent and a Vietnamese growth rate of 6.3 percent, lower than the 6.7 percent goal set by the government.
