A series of charitable events were organised in the Central region on July 8 to support households and students in need.
Inthe central city of Da Nang, 15 impoverished families in Hoa Vangdistrict were presented with houses and cows worth 300 million VND(13,950 USD), which was donated by organisations and individuals.
Five scholarships, each valued at 1 million VND (46.5 USD), were also awarded to disadvantaged students in the locality.
