Quang Ngai (VNA) – Two giant cranes made domestically♔ were shipped to Nghi Son Oil Refinery Port in the north-central coaౠstal province of Thanh Hoa.

Each of the two rail-mounted quay cranes (RMQC) are 850 tonnes in weight, 58 metres high, 86 metres long and 27 metres wide.
They are able to lift 50-tonne containers, much more than the rubber-tired cranes, said Kim Yong Soo, Deputy General Director of the Doosan Heavy Industries Vietnam Co. Ltd (Doosan Vina). The cranes were produced using advanced technologies by Doosan Vina workers over the course of 17 months. This is the first time the firm has made RMQCs for a Vietnamese partner, he noted.
Earlier, Doosan Vina manufactured four rubber-tired gantry cranes for Saigon Port in Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang Port in Da Nang. Located at Dung Quat Economic Zone in the central province of Quang Ngai, Doosan Vina is one of the largest overseas manufacturing factories established through joint investment from the Republic of Korea-based Doosan Heavy Industries & Construction, and Doosan Engineering and Construction.-VNA
