Hanoi (VNA) - Some German films of different genres will be screenedat KinoFest – the annual film festival hosted by Germany's Goethe-Institut, in earlyNovember, according to organisers.
As a collaborative project of eight Goethe institutes inSoutheast Asia, Kinofest 2023 will feature films released between 2021 and 2023,which have garnered significant attention from the German film industry.
According to Gugi Gumilang, the curator of KinoFest 2023, Germany’s culture andhistory and the development of German cinema will be highlighted during thefestival.
KinoFest will come to Vietnamese audiences in Hanoiand Ho Chi Minh City through the BHD cinema system.
The films are also set to be screened in Indonesia,Malaysia, Singapore, the Philippines, Thailand, Myanmar, Timor Leste, and NewZealand.
They include Toubab by Florian Dietrich; Wir könnten genauso Gut Tot seinby Natalia Sinelnikova; Sisi und ich by Frauke Finsterwalder; Liebe, D-Mark undTod by Cem Kaya; Elaha by Milena Aboyan;Bis ans Ende der Nacht by Christoph; and The Ordinaries by Sophie Linnenbaum./.
Children, teenagers and movies buffs will have chance to see exciting and emotional German films at festivals in Hanoi, Hue, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City.
