Hanoi (VNA) - The Funeral Board andthe family of former Party General Secretary Le Kha Phieu expressed thanksfollowing the burial service for him on August 15.

Former Party General Secretary Phieu passed away at2.52am on August 7 at his home in Hanoi after a period of illness.
Vietnam observed twodays of national mourning for the leader on August 14-15./.

Former Party General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee Le Kha Phieu was buried in a solemn service at Mai Dich Cemetery in Hanoi on August 15. The former Party chief passed away on August 7 at the age of 89.
