Front working delegation grants gifts to flood-affected people in Quang Binh
Secretary of the Party Central Committee and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Tran Thanh Man led a working delegation to visit and present gifts to people affected by recent storms and floods in the central province of Quang Binh on December 7.

Quang Binh (VNA) – Secretary of the Party Central Committee andPresident of the Vietnam Fatherland Front (VFF) Central Committee Tran ThanhMan led a working delegation to visit and present gifts to people affected by recentstorms and floods in the central province of Quang Binh on December 7.
Recent record floods claimed the lives of 25 locals, made197 other injured, and submerged over 106,000 houses. Economic loss isestimated at more than 3.5 trillion VND (151 million USD).
The working delegation granted 100 gifts worth 2.2 millionVND each for families seriously affected by the disasters, and three giftsworth 40 million VND each for three families whose houses completelycollapsed.
Man asked local authorities to pay more attention tofamilies which have no accommodations to help them repair and rebuild houses before the Lunar New Year festival.
More support is needed to help locals resume production andensure no students are forced to leave school, he stated, stressing theimportance to better environmental sanitation, especially measures to prevent diseases, including the COVID-19.
