French gastronomy festival to take place in Hanoi

Hanoi (VNA) – The first Balade en France in Hanoi is set to take place atthe city’s Ly Thai To Statue Square from December 14-16, said French Ambassadorto Vietnam Bertrand Lortholary in a media briefing on December 11 in Hanoi.

Itis a review event of the series of activities organised as part of thecelebration of the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-France diplomatic ties(1973-2018) and the 5th anniversary of the strategic partnership, organised bythe French Embassy in Vietnam, the French Ministry of Agriculture, Agrifood andForestry, and the People’s Committee of Hanoi.

Anarray of activities will be held during the festival. Visitors will have theopportunity to walk down a Parisian street during Christmas time lined withshops and decorated with sparkling lights and enjoy French dishes.

Technologicalproducts, cosmetics and French furniture will also be on display at more than60 stands of French companies in Vietnam.

Afestival of French music will be the centrepiece of the event, featuring newsongs through the voices of French groups and famous Vietnamese artists, suchas My Linh, Dong Lan and Trang Phap.

Inaddition, visitors will be able to immerse themselves in the atmosphere ofdynamic music by French DJs, rock on with an original blend of traditionalethnical instrument and French modern music through the interpretation of Vu DoQuang Minh.

TheFrench Ambassador added that a workshop entitled “Football Style in France- thechampion of the 2018 World Cup” will be arranged on December 16, voicing hishope that football will be a new field of cooperation between the two nations.-VNA
