Hanoi (VNA) ☂– Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son held a working session with his Lao counterpart Saleumxay Kommasith in Hanoi in the framework of an official visit to Vietnam by Lao Party General Secretary and President Thongloun Sisoulith.

The two ministers spoke highly of the close and effectivecoordination between the two countries’ agencies to make through preparationsfor the visit by the Lao Party and State leader, from the visit's agenda to protocol affairs and pandemic prevention, contributing to thesuccess of the visit. They pledged to continue effectively realising the bilateralcooperation agreement between the two Foreign Ministries for the 2021-2025 period, focusing on stepping upstrategic studies and regular exchanges between the two ministries’ key units, andenhancing cooperation in the training of personnel, including under trilateral cooperation model. The two sides also vowed to effectively carry out an actionprogramme on economic diplomacy cooperation for the 2020-2025 period andcontinue offering mutual support at sub-regional, regional and internationalforums./.
