Hanoi (VNA) – The Flamingo – Art in the Forest2017 is introducing to art lovers paintings and sculptures from 17 renownedVietnamese and foreign artists.

The outdoor exhibition opened on October 28 in the FlamingoDai Lai Resort in the northern province of Vinh Phuc, about 45km away fromHanoi.

Displayed artworks are expected to give visitors visualimpression that opens up new perspectives on life and the relationship betweenhuman and nature.

Notable sculptors at the show include Bui Hai Son and Vu BinhMinh from Vietnam, Lee Jae-hyo from the Republic of Korea, Carlos Albert Andresfrom Spain, and Mukai Katsumi from Japan.

Visitors will also be treated to art tours around the resortand various cultural activities during the course of the exhibition that lastsuntil November 5.-VNA

ꦏ Vietnam re-elected to 2005 UNESCO Convention’s Intergovernmental Committee

This is the first time since the adoption of the Convention that a country has served two consecutive terms on the Committee. The outcome shows the trust and recognition that member states have given Vietnam for its efforts and achievements in carrying out and promoting the Convention, as well as for its active role, strong standing, and growing credibility at UNESCO.

The exhibition showcases more than 100 valuable documents and artifacts, divided into two main parts: “Journalist Nguyen Ai Quoc – Ho Chi Minh” and “President Ho Chi Minh – Founder and Mentor of Vietnamese Revolutionary Press.” This is an opportunity to recall the late leader’s journalism journey and affirm his exceptional role in founding and guiding the revolutionary press in Vietnam.
